In Wörth am Rhein, Contargo has received the first battery-driven electric Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 customer vehicle. Contargo will use the vehicle for container transports in Wörth and the surrounding region, where it will be travelling more than 800 kilometres per day.
Since the beginning of February 2024, Holger Bochow now has overall responsibility for the Contargo terminal network.
Despite a strongly subdued market in the seaports, 2023 was a successful year for Contargo in France.
Following the approval of the antitrust authorities, Contargo is now officially a new co-partner of the Dutch rail operator DistriRail B.V.
From 8 January 2024 the Frankfurt-Antwerp Shuttle (FAS) which departs every week on Monday from the Contargo terminal in Industriepark Frankfurt-Höchst will serve two additional terminals in Antwerp.
