As of January 1, 2024, Contargo Transbox will no longer operate as a subsidiary of Contargo Waterway Logistics but will be affiliated directly to the Contargo Group and will be expanded into two separate companies operating under the names of Contargo Transbox Nederland and Contargo Transbox België.
In the 2024 European Transport Award for Sustainability (Europäischer Transportpreis für Nachhaltigkeit, ETPN) Contargo was honoured on 30 November with third place in the Special Award for “Transport Enterprises and Forwarders”.
On 23 November there were smiling faces at the award ceremony in Düsseldorf for the German Sustainability Award Enterprises 2023. The Contargo team received the winner’s trophy in the sector of Transport and Logistics in the Mobility category.
In October, Contargo simultaneously received two prestigious awards for its sustainable activities: The Sustainable Impact Award and the Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis.
On 1 September 2023, Contargo Road Logistics took over the Dutch transport company HE-Logistics B.V. With this move Contargo is further expanding its position in container direct trucking within the Benelux states.
