The level at the Maxau Gauge has gone down over the last few days. As a result, it was possible to lift the ban on inland shipping on the stretch of the Rhine between Iffezheim and Germersheim as from 01:00 a.m. on 18.12.
Due to the combination of rain and snowmelt, flood forecasts for the Rhine are currently unreliable.
As from January 1, 2023 Hutchison Ports ECT Rotterdam will introduce two new surcharges for truck transport. The Climate Tariff is intended to realise a modal shift, and the purpose of the Distribution Surcharge is to ensure a more even distribution of delivery and collection by truck at the ECT Delta and Euromax terminals.
We are pleased to say that the situation in the western seaports has improved. Due to the improved situation, it will be possible for us to reduce the congestion surcharge for you for container transports via the seaports of Rotterdam and Antwerp from 1 January 2024. The present surcharge of 25.00 € will be adjusted to 15.00 € per container/per direction.
